Our fears as children were always that of Monsters or Creepy-Crawly-Critters slinking through the shadows, in the dead of night. As adults our fears present themselves in plain sight, such as the recent flu season. Fear consumes much of what is present in our everyday lives, our Government knows this. It is either be scared of what our Government’s not telling us about flu vaccine efficiency or content, or be terrified of getting the flu and suffering from serious illness. I think it’s time to get down to the facts.
The influenza virus is not a bacterial infection, but a viral infection. Antibiotics are useless in curing or protecting the body’s immune system from viral infection. Why then are there antibacterial antibiotics and disinfectants in the five available flu vaccines? As listed in the 10th Edition of the Australian Immunisation Handbook, published by the Australian Government Department of Health, the five vaccines provided are: Agrippal, Fluvax, Fluarix, Influvac and Vaxigrip. The five vaccines contain egg proteins and formaldehyde. The remaining elements for each vaccine are differently mixed cocktails of: Gentamicin, Kanamycin, Neomycin, Polymyxin, Polysorbate and Sorbitole. How many of you can tell me what these components are? It’s medical jargon we assume to be good for us, since it is administered by trained medical professionals. Just because something medically scrapes the line of safe does not mean it should be put into our bodies without serious consideration.
The National Centre for Biotechnology Information website provides information on medical drugs, testing, case studies, illnesses and diseases, through the online U.S. National Library of Medicine. When researching into the cocktail of mixed ingredients used in the flu vaccine, I was shocked to read that Gentamycin, Kanamycin, Neomycin and Polymyxin are strong antibacterial antibiotics which eliminate and prevent growth of bacterial infections. Risks and concerns don’t stop there. For each of the six drugs listed, there is a list of individual health conditions which need to be considered during treatment including asthma, diabetes, heart disease and lung disease. The Australian Government Department of Health urges people with such conditions to get the flu vaccine each year. How many people do you think are being informed?
The National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance (NCIRS) and the Harvard Health Publication claim that inactive vaccines consist of dead strains of a virus, and are unable to mutate back to its previously infectious form within the body. If mutation isn’t possible, then why is there a need for formaldehyde in the flu vaccine, to ensure the virus stays dead? There is plenty of half-truths and misinformation being handed out. The NCIRS explains that it is common for individuals to suffer from symptoms which ‘mimic influenza infection’. What they are not telling you is that these side effects are most likely caused by the antibacterial antibiotics and disinfectants within the injection. Minor side effects associated with Gentamicin, Kanamycin, Neomycin, Polymyxin, Polysorbate and Sorbitole are: chest pain, chills, cough, drowsiness, fever, headaches, joint pains, lethargy, muscle pain, shortness of breath, sore throat and swollen glands. Correct me if I’m wrong, but are these not flu-like symptoms? Perhaps they aren’t giving you the flu, but they are giving you a variety of symptoms that in turn could lower your immune system and put you at risk of contracting the virus, knowing that the antibiotic components of the vaccine leave you with no real means of defence against the flu.
Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) is the only medicine which is of viable concern to medical practitioners or researchers. This means that the Australian Government Department of Health and the Australian Government Institute of Health and Welfare accept quantifiable findings based on medicine. Where does a natural remedy such as vitamin D stand a chance? The medical system has been built on the pre-conceived emphasis of the measurable medical cure, rather than the natural medical properties of vitamins. There have been scientific links drawn between natural elements aiding the immune system. The Vitamin D Council website has noted that, the vitamin D receptors in the immune system are responsible for terminating foreign viruses or germs. Everything within a vitamin D supplement is natural. The synthetic trickery in the vaccines, however, is not. Why not let your body do what it does and save your well earned money in your pocket. The Harvard Health Publication and Vitamin D Council argues that adopting healthy living strategies through diet, weight control, exercise, decreasing stress and taking natural supplements will not harm you and can contribute to a healthier immune system.
Every year advertisements in our local general practitioners offices claim, ‘Don’t miss a day of work, get your flu shot today’. This suggests that the flu vaccine is 100% effective in preventing illness. The Harvard Health Publication states that vaccinations prevent disease and immunisation helps develop immunity against disease. I didn’t hear that the flu vaccine is capable of keeping a person 100% healthy from the virus, did you? The flu vaccine synthetically engages an immune response via an inactive strain of the virus, in the same way your natural immune system would act against actual contact with the virus. How can it not be questioned, that the cell memory left from the synthetic vaccine is not as effective as contracting the virus and letting our immune system do what it was built for?
The next time you consider getting yourself or someone you care about vaccinated against the flu, remember, they aren’t telling you everything.
