The Phoenix Youth Hub has risen from the ashes with a strut, a pout and a pop.
If you weren’t already aware, the Phoenix Youth Hub has been closed for over eighteen months due to renovations. The new and improved centre was launched early this week in a night filled with laughter, flare and unforgettable talent.
Young models from the west kicked off the night, showcasing #westsidestyle on the runway, accompanied by a street-style exhibition and proved exactly why the West is the ‘best dressed’.
Dance groups, L2R and Culture Queens, took to the stage next and brought down the house with their impressive moves. But what would an event be without a little bit of drama? Phoenix Edge, the west side theatre group, premiered a preview of their upcoming theatre show that had the entire room in stitches, followed by a good old dance party to really kick things off!
The Phoenix Youth Hub has become home to many youths in the west and what better way to reopen than by showcasing their many talents. The Hub is officially reopened to youths aged 12-25 years of age. It’s a place to hangout with friends, meet new people, or simply just a place to get away.
It’s a place where youths can feel safe.
