Ever fancied yourself as a dancer? The Salsa Foundation do free beginners salsa classes every Wednesday and Thursday in the city. You don’t need a partner, or any prior knowledge, just go along and have fun. The classes are easy to follow, the people are friendly, and it’s not too hard to pick up the steps. Salsa is a great way to get active, and it’s a fun way to meet new people too.

VU Spinning Classes – Footscray Park Aquatic and Fitness Centre
If you prefer gym or group classes, VU Footscray Park Aquatic and Fitness Centre has a great range of classes and exercises which includes Spinning classes. An indoor group exercise on stationary bike which is ideal for weight loss, fitness, speed and endurance. Classes run for approximately 45 minutes and go through a range of different styles of bike riding, such as sprints, hills and adding or easing resistance.
Unless, you’re already a member, this is the best option for VU students as they have a casual entry fee of $11 per class for students. It only costs $7.70 for students to participate in a group exercise short session. Or you can get a good deal and save money by purchasing a ten gym/group exercise multi-pass for $99.
